As much as I enjoy working with computers, I know that certain areas can be confusing (I don’t tend to be a random gadget wiz, I only want to know what I want to use). So what is PayPal?
PayPal is owned by eBay and is designed “to be a safer way to send money online.” PayPal doesn’t expose or sell your financial information to merchants. So basically instead of using your credit card all over the Internet, you have your credit card info stored with PayPal. Then when you want to buy (or in this case donate) you give up your financial information, only your PayPal ID. This means no identy theft (PayPal is the very best at what it does) and free services from PayPal (fraud prevention, e-mail confirmation, etc).
